Biography
Yi Zhou is currently the Chief Software Architect in a well-known biotech company, and specializes in designing the software platform for medical devices and personalizing disease management. He has nearly twenty-year experience in all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle, and excels in business-technology alignment and strategic planning, process improvement, architecture and framework design, team building and management, and consulting. Yi was a key contributor to the Bioinformatic Sequence Markup Language (BSML) that is one of the open standards in Bioinformatics. He possesses proven experience in designing life-critical software under FDA regulation and managing remote teams.
Yi is listed in the Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Science and Engineering. He received a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri and a Master’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Kansas. He is a SEI Certified Software Architecture Professional, ScrumAlliance Certified ScrumMaster, IBM Certified XML Developer, and Sun Certified Java Programmer.
